” Back to Black ” is by Amy Winehouse ( Amy Jade Winehouse ), the British singer. Written by Amy and Mark Ronson, production for the single was by Mark, who had a hit with Uptown Funk with Bruno Mars.
The song was released by the record label Island Records in 2007, the song was the third single from Amy’s second and last Album, Back to Black.
Amy drew inspiration from her relationship with Blake Fielder-Civil. He’d left her for an ex-girlfriend, resulting in Amy going to Black.

The video was directed by Phil Griffin, who’d worked with the likes of Diana Ross and Paul McCartney. In the video for ” Back to Black ” Amy is seen mourning over a grave that shows ” R.I.P. the Heart of Amy Winehouse “.
The scenes were filmed in Abney Park Cemetery in north-east London in the United Kingdom, later after Amy’s death in 2011; the graveyard scenes were removed from the video.
Music critics loved the song, with one stating it was as good as the 60s girl group classic songs which inspired ” Back to Black “.
Matt Harvey commented on the BBC music website in 2006 that ” The title-track, owing much to the sonic heritage of Phil Spector and Scott Walker, is a tortured monster of a track – Amy displaying the sort of vocal depth that Marc Almond has always dreamed of “.
