” Bedroom Floor ” is by Liam Payne, the English singer and songwriter. Liam rose to fame as a member of the successful band One Direction, the English-Irish pop boy band.
After the release of their fourth album, Four, in 2014, they became the first band in the history of Billboard 200 Chart to have their first four albums debut at the top of the chart. As of 2017, the group is on a break, giving all members time to pursue other projects.
Liam has worked as a producer using the names Big Payno or just Payno and worked with producers AfterHrs remixing several tracks which included ” I Don’t Care “, Cheryl Cole’s 2014 UK Singles Chart Number One. He also has credit for writing ” I Won’t Break ” which features on Cheryl’s album, Only Human.
The song was written by Jacob Kasher Hindlin, Charlie Puth, Ammar Malik, Steve Mac, Aaron Jennings and Noel Zancanella.
Production for the single was by Steve Mac and Ben Rice. Steve is a British musician, songwriter and record producer. In 2013 he received the ASCAP ( The American Society of Composers, Authors and Publishers ) Songwriter of The Year Award in recognition for his work which included co-writing ” Glad You Came “, a UK Singles Chart Number One and Billboard Hot 100 chart number three single by British-Irish boy band The Wanted. Steve has worked with many artists during his career including Demi Lovato, Shakira, One Direction, Westlife, Kelly Clarkson, Leona Lewis, The Saturdays, Rita Ora and James Blunt.
Ben Rice is a Brooklyn based producer, mixer, engineer and songwriter. He works mainly out of his studio, Degraw Sound. The recording studio is located in an area that was an industrial zone around Brooklyn’s Gowanus Canal. He has worked with artists like Norah Jones, Rathborne, Aoife O’Donovan, The Candles, Daughter, Jack Penate, Silya & The Sailors and The Skins. As a songwriter, his work has been heard on ABC, CBS, HBO, NBC, Showtime and USA Network.
” Bedroom Floor ” was released on the 20th of October 2017 by record labels Capitol and Republic Records ( both Universal Music Group ) and taken as the second single from Liam’s forthcoming debut studio album, the title of which is being kept secret.
The accompanying music video was shot on location in Los Angeles and was directed by Declan Whitebloom. The award-winning English director, born and raised in London, England, finished art school and collecting his BA, moved to Los Angeles.
There he started editing music videos before getting his commission to direct. Now a sought-after director, Declan has worked on videos for Taylor Swift, Demi Lovato, Leona Lewis, Pixie Lott, Jesse McCartney, Jess Glynne, Rita Ora, Hilary Duff and One Direction.
The video co-stars actress Bella Thorne ( Annabella Avery Thorne ), the American actress and singer. Born on the 8th of October 1997, she has appeared in many TV shows including My Own Worst Enemy, Big Love and Shake It Up, the Disney Channel series about background dancers on a local show, Shake It Up Chicago. Bella supports the Humane Society and the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.
” Bedroom Floor ” has been a commercial success for Liam. In the United States the song reached number ninety-eight on the Billboard Hot 100 Chart, to date it has spent one week on the chart there. It also reached number thirty-nine on the Mainstream Top 40 Chart.
In the United Kingdom, the song entered the UK Singles Chart on the 2nd of November 2017 and reached a peak of number twenty-one. As of November 2017, it has spent five weeks in the Top Forty and five weeks on the UK chart.
