Description: ” Forever ” is by Sandra ( Sandra Ann Lauer ), the German pop singer. Sandra a string of European hit singles in the 80s and early 90s, which were produced by her then-husband, Michael Cretu.
Michael is a Romanian–German musician, singer, songwriter and producer, best known for being the founder and musician behind Enigma, the German musical project formed in 1990.
Before finding success as a solo artist, Sandra was the lead singer of Arabesque, who were an all-girl trio formed in Frankfurt, Germany, at the height of the European disco era in the late 70s. The group had a huge following in Japan and USSR.
Later, between 1990 and 2001, she provided vocals on Albums released by Enigma, which enjoyed chart success in both North America and United Kingdom. The project has sold over 8 Million Albums in the United States and in the region of 70 Million worldwide.
” Forever ” was written by Peter Ries and Wolfgang Filz. Peter Ries, who also uses the names Marc Cassandra, Gilbert or Steve Hall, is a German record producer, composer, arranger and remixer. He has worked with many different artists either as a songwriter, producer or remixer which include N Sync, Beyoncé, Dr. Alban, LL Cool J, Sally Oldield and Kylie Minogue.
Wolfgang Filz is a German musician and producer, he often uses the aliases Antonio Schmid, Boca Junior and Laurent Daniels. He has worked with the likes of Enigma, Maren Kroymann, LaFee, Misteria and Sarah Brightman.
Production for the single was by and Jens Gad and Michael Cretu. Jens is a German producer, songwriter and guitarist. He was co-producer for the musical project, Enigma.
He played guitar solo of many of the songs featured on the The Cross of Changes Album, which went to Number One in the United Kingdom and peaked at number 9 on the Billboard 200 Chart in the United States, where sales exceeded 2 Million copies.
” Forever ” was released on the 1st of October 2001 by record label Virgin ( Capitol Music Group in the United States and Virgin EMI in the United Kingdom ) and taken as the lead single from Sandra’s seventh Album The Wheel of Time. There were three singles released from the Album, it reached a peak of number 8 on the German Albums Chart.
The accompanying music video was directed by Thomas Job, who has directed videos for Paradise Lost and Monrose.
