” Get Me Some of That ” is by Thomas Rhett ( Thomas Rhett Akins, Jr. ), the American country singer-songwriter. He is the son of the singer Rhett Akins, who had a Billboard Hot Country Songs Chart Number One with ” Don’t Get Me Started ” in 1996.
Thomas was born on the 30th of March 1990 in Valdosta, a city on the southern border of Georgia, United States. Known as the Azalea City, as the flowering shrubs, which belong to the Rhododendron family, grow in abundance there. Each year in March, Valdosta hosts an Azalea Festival.
At a young age, Thomas learnt to play the drums and later would accompany his father onstage. At 20 he decided to pursue a career in music. Thomas’ career began as a songwriter; he wrote songs for many country music artists including Lee Brice, Florida Georgia Line and Jason Aldean, who recorded a song Thomas co-wrote titled ” I Ain’t Ready to Quit ” for his album, My Kinda Party.
The album made peaked at number two on the Billboard 200 when released in 2010 and topped the Top Country Albums Chart. In its first week of release, the album sold 193,000 copies in the United States.

Cole Swindell is an American country music singer and songwriter. He has written songs for many country music artists including Craig Campbell, Scotty McCreery and Luke Bryan. He has released two albums, Cole Swindell and You Should Be Here, both of which peaked at number two on the Billboard Top Country Albums Chart.
” Get Me Some of That ” was produced by Luke Laird, the American country music songwriter and producer. After gaining a degree in Recording Industry Management, he worked as an assistant tour manager for American country music duo Brooks & Dunn.
In 2014, Luke won an award for Best Country Album at the Academy of Country Music Awards for his production of Kacey Musgraves’ multi-award winning album, Same Trailer Different Park. As a songwriter, Luke has worked with the likes of Lee Ann Womack, Tim McGraw, Carrie Underwood, Miranda Lambert, Sheryl Crow and Lady Antebellum.
The song was released on the 18th of November 2013 by record label Big Machine Records ( independent American record label for country music and pop artists ) and taken as the fourth single from Thomas’ debut album; It Goes Like This.
The album, released on the 29th of October 2013, had a positive reception from critics. In the United States, it debuted and peaked at number six on Billboard 200 and reached number two on the Top Country Albums Chart. In the first week, It Goes Like This sold 36,000 copies in the United States. As of September 2015, the album has sold 271,000 copies in the country.
The accompanying music video was directed by TK McKamy ( Thomas Knox McKamy III ), the award-winning American film director and cinematographer. TK was born in Stone Mountain, a city in DeKalb County, Georgia, United States.
As a commercials director, he has worked with Coca-Cola, Toyota and Verizon Wireless, the American telecommunications company. TK has directed Music videos for numerous artists including Cassadee Pope, Maddie & Tae, Clare Dunn, Lady Antebellum and Florida Georgia Line for their video of ” God, Your Mama, and Me ” which featured the Backstreet Boys. The single reached number forty-six on the Billboard Hot 100 Chart in the United States.
” Get Me Some of That ” was a commercial success for Thomas. In the United States, the song reached a peak of number forty-one on the Billboard Hot 100, spending twenty weeks on the chart there.
It also peaked at Number One on the Country Airplay and four on the Hot Country Songs charts. The Recording Industry Association of America ( RIAA ) certified the single Platinum with sales of 747,000 units.
