Heart attack Demi Lovato

” Heart Attack ” is by Demi Lovato ( Demetria Devonne “Demi” Lovato ), the American singer, songwriter, actress and model.
The song was written by Demi Lovato, Mitch Allan, Jason Evigan, Sean Douglas, Nikki Williams and Aaron Philips.
Production for the song was by The Suspex, the songwriting and production duo from LA consisting of Jason Evigan and Mitch Allan.
” Heart attack ” was released by the record label Hollywood on the 24th of February 2013 and taken as the first single from Demi’s fourth album, Demi.
Originally the song was intended to be recorded by Nikki Williams; she had penned the song two years before it was released by Demi.
Nikki said of the song ” At the time I was going through some relationship stuff, and I was just so depressed, so when I got into the session I thought, ‘You know what? I’m gonna pour it all out there, and get it off my chest “.
After writing the song Nikki’s record company rejected it, the song was considered by Pia Toscano, the American singer and American Idol contestant, however, this was also dismissed.
Demi heard the song and liked it enough to record it, the original lyrics were changed and a dubstep break which was used in the original removed.
Music critics liked the song, Idolator’s Sam Lansky said ” Heart Attack” as “a monster electropop track with some impressive Kelly Clarkson-esque wailing, a little drum-and-bass-inspired instrumentation on the chorus and a catchy guitar loop “.
Jason Lipshutz wrote on Billboard.com that the song was ” an immaculate piece of pop songwriting that simultaneously demonstrates the former Disney star’s striking vocal nuances “.
Demi had commercial success with ” Heart Attack “, in the United States the song entered the Billboard Hot 100 at number twelve on digital sales of over 215,000.
The song later climbed to reach a peak of number 10 making it Demi’s third top ten single on the Billboard Hot 100 Chart. The song stayed on the chart for seven weeks.
It was certified Gold by The Recording Industry Association of America ( RIAA ) for sales of 500,000 in the space of only four weeks.
Outside of the United States, ” Heart Attack ” entered the chart in the United Kingdom on the 25th of May 2013 and peaked at number three. The song spent two weeks in the Top Ten and a total of fifteen weeks on the UK chart.
