Description: ” I Feel You ” is by Schiller ( Christopher von Deylen ), the German electronic musician. Originally Schiller was a duo made up of Christopher von Deylen and Mirko von Schlieffen.
After 2002 Schiller became just one artist, Christopher von Deylen. The German electronic musician is named after the German poet and dramatist Friedrich Schiller who worked with Johann Wolfgang von Goethe on Xenien, a collection of short satirical poems which challenged those opposed to their philosophical vision.
As a duo their 2002 track ” Dream of You ” won Schiller the ECHO award for the Best Dance Single of the Year. ECHO is Deutsche Phono-Akademie, an association of German record companies who award German musicians for their musical accomplishments.
” I Feel You ” was written by Peter Heppner and Schiller ( who produced the track ). Peter, born in Hamburg ( the second largest city and a state of Germany ), was the lead vocalist and songwriter for Wolfsheim, the German electronica/synth pop band. Along with Schiller, he has worked with many other electronic music artists including Paul van Dyk and Goethes Erben.
” I Feel You ” was released on the 5th of January 2004 by record labels Universal and Polydor Island ( Universal Music Group ). The song was taken as the second single from Schiller’s third Album Leben. The Album featured collaborations with artists like Sarah Brightman, Maya Saban, Peter Heppner and Kim Sanders. Popular in Germany, the Album was awarded Platinum status in 2016.
The song was the second that Schiller and the German singer Heppner had collaberated on, the first in 2001, ” Dream of You “, peaked at number 13 on the German Singles Chart and spent 14 weeks on the chart there.
There were two versions of ” I Feel You “, one of purple and one of green, each had different songs. The cover artwork had a graphic of a treewhich symbolised Earth, one of the four elements. The Album artwork showed the complete four elements.
The accompanying music video was directed by Hans Hammers Jr. II, the German director. It was filmed in the latter part of 2003 on location at Binz, the Jasmund National Park chalk cliffs and the building complex of Prora.
” I Feel You ” was a commercial success for Schiller. In Germany the song reached a peak of number 10 on the German Singles Chart and spent 15 weeks on the chart there. It also charted in Poland and Romania, but not in the United Kingdom or the United States.
