The video was directed by Francis Lawrence the Austrian-born American film director. Using CGI technology the video starts with a view of the sky and then slowly moves down to Nelly who is laying in the grass.
The video then cuts to her singing on a tree trunk while floating in mid-air. For the chorus of the song she sings to the camera directly while birds fly around her.
Along with the song the video is full of symbols of freedom, birds in flight and references to it are used throughout the video.
In other scenes she’s singing mid-air in a forest, towards the end Nelly falls backwards from a branch in to a crowd who are reaching up to catch her. The final scene of the video the camera pans out and shows a scene of bird flight to symbolize her freedom before ending with a crowd of thousands passing her along a wave of outstretched arms.
