Made in the USA Demi Lovato

” Made in the USA ” is by Demi Lovato ( Demetria Devonne “Demi” Lovato ), the American singer, songwriter and actress. The song was written by Demi Lovato, Jonas Jeberg, Jason Evigan, Corey Chorus and Blair Perkins.
Production for the single by was by Jonas Jeberg. The Danish songwriter and music producer has worked with artists including Jason Derulo, JLS, Kelly Rowland, Kylie Minogue and The Pussycat Dolls.
The song was released on the 16th of July 2013 by record label Hollywood ( part of the Disney Music Group ) and taken as the second single from Demi’s fourth album, Demi, which reached number three on the Billboard 200 Chart in the United States after selling 110,000 copies in the first week of release.
The uptempo country pop song was initially intended for Blair Perkins, the R&B artist. Demi took to the song instantly upon hearing it and made some changes to the original lyrics.
” Made in the USA ” is a follow-up to her Billboard Hot 100 number ten single ” Heart Attack “, which took inspiration from American romantic love stories of the 1930s, 40s and 50s.
Music critics liked the song, although some did have mixed feelings about the track. An Album track review on said of the song ” ‘ Our love runs deep like a Chevy ‘ is a pretty unusual way to describe the depth of one’s emotions, and the opening line is (thankfully) the only name-checked brand to coyly tie the song to the stars and stripes. Instead, ‘ Made in the USA ‘ plays out like a grown-up version of Miley Cyrus’ ‘ Party in the USA, ‘ with shout-outs to both coasts bookending a wistful guitar lick and some fierce romantic statements “.
The patriotic feel of the song was shared by Demi, in an interview with Good Morning America she said ” I’m proud. I know it sounds really cheesy, but I’m proud to be an American. And I’m really proud of my country and how far we’ve come “. She added that ” It’s a great love song. It’s basically about falling in love in the best country ever “.
The music video was produced by BHC Films and directed by Demi and Ryan Pallotta, the Canadian music video director. The video was filmed over three days and stars Dustin Milligan and Aimee Teegarden.
Dustin is a Canadian actor best known for playing Ethan Ward in the TV teen drama series 90210. Aimee is an American actress who played Julie Taylor in Friday Night Lights, the NBC drama.
Demi spoke in an interview about co-directing the video ” I saw the shots that I wanted to do and everything. I told my manager, and I kind of walked him through it, step-by-step. And he said, ‘why don’t you just direct it since you know what you want?’ and I’ve always wanted to direct, so I was like, ‘OK, let’s do it!’ And that’s kind of how it happened “.
Demi had mild success with the song. In the United States, it peaked at number eighty on the Billboard Hot 100 and spent two weeks on the chart there.
In the United Kingdom it entered the UK Singles Chart on the 5th of October 2013 and reached number eighty-nine, the song spent a total of two weeks on the UK chart.
