The version that was released as a single slightly varies from the one from the Album, Tom Elmhirst who had Grammy success in 2009 for Adele’s 19 album, remixed the vocals and gave it a heavier beat.
The mid-tempo song is about perfection and the struggle to become perfect, Jessie told the English newspaper The Sun ” one of the most honest and raw songs on Who You Are.”
She explained what the song was intended to portray ” Every time I sing it I relive the moment that I wrote it about. I think it’s important to expose your flaws in music as well as your positives. As it says, Nobody’s Perfect. I’m definitely not! ”
Music critics had mixed feelings for the song, some noted her vocal performance and described the song as impressive, however some thought the song is her weak spot and had failed to live up to the hype surrounding it.
