” Nothing’s Gonna Change My Love for You ” is by Glenn Medeiros, the American singer. Glenn Medeiros was born in Lihue, Hawaii, the United States on the 24th of June 1970.
The singer, of Portuguese descent, started his singing career at ten years old when he helped entertain passengers on his father’s bus, which ran tours on the Hawaiian Island of Kauai.
In addition to this song, Glenn Medeiros had another hit single in May 1990 with ” She Ain’t Worth It “, featuring rapping by American singer Bobby Brown. The single topped the Billboard Hot 100 in the United States for two weeks.
It became the only US Number One for Glenn Medeiros and the second and final chart-topper Bobby Brown after ” My Prerogative “, which reached the top in October 1988.
After the career peak, Glenn Medeiros turned his back on the music business and went into teaching. He is now Dr Glenn Medeiros, Ed.D. and President/CEO of the Saint Louis School, in Honolulu.

The American composers and songwriters have written for a variety of recording artists like Whitney Houston, Dionne Warwick, Diana Ross, Roberta Flack, Crystal Gayle, Natalie Cole, Gladys Knight & The Pips, Teddy Pendergrass and George Benson.
The song was initially recorded and released by George Benson in 1985 for the European market only, it was never released in the United States. The single reached number twenty-nine in Belgium and forty-three in the Netherlands.
Glenn Medeiros’ cover version was released in February 1987 in the United States, August 1987 in Australia and in June 1988 in the United Kingdom. The single, marketed under the record labels Amherst, Mercury and London respectively, was produced by Jay Stone, who has also worked with Glenn Medeiros on other songs by the singer.
Initially the single was released via a small independent label when Glenn Medeiros was just sixteen when he won a local radio talent contest.
” Nothing’s Gonna Change My Love for You ” was heard by radio executive from KZZP, a Mainstream Top Forty station which broadcasts across Phoenix, Arizona. From there the song became a hit nationally through word of mouth.
The single has been certified Gold in four countries, Canada, France, the Netherlands and the United Kingdom. Sales figures are 50,000 in Canada, 40,000 in the Netherlands, 500,000 in France and 400,000 in the United Kingdom.
” Nothing’s Gonna Change My Love for You ” became a commercial success for Glenn Medeiros. In the United States, the song peaked at number twelve on the 6th of June 1987 and spent twenty-five weeks on the Billboard Hot 100. It reached number four on the Billboard Adult Contemporary Chart.
In the United Kingdom, the single entered the UK Singles Chart on the 11th of June 1988 and topped the chart, a position it held for four weeks. It spent six weeks in the Top Ten and fourteen weeks in the Top 100.
” Nothing’s Gonna Change My Love for You ” also topped the singles charts in Canada, the Netherlands, France, Ireland and Spain.
In Belgium ( Flanders ), Iceland, Norway, Sweden and South Africa it missed the Number One spot, peaking at number two.
In Germany, the single only reached number twenty and in Austria, it peaked at twelve with a number eight peak in Switzerland.
