The Smurfs 2, is an American 3D live-action/computer-animated comedy film which is based on the Peyo ( Pierre Culliford ) characters created by the Belgian comics artist. In the early 1950s Peyo’s character Johan appeared in the magazine Spirou, a second character was added as a companion to Johan called Peewit.

When the track was heard by Dr. Luke, he thought the song would be perfect for Britney, and a deal was made to the song to be recorded by her instead. Dr. Luke brought in songwriters Bonnie McKee and J. Kash; they rewrote the lyrics to the song would be better suited to both Britney and the film, The Smurfs 2.
Britney said of her decision to record the song for the film soundtrack ” always loved the Smurfs as a kid and now my boys are the biggest Smurfs fans EVER. I wanted to surprise them with a song in the movie. I know they’ll think it’s Smurftastic! ”
