The Album is built around the ancient Indian practice of the Chakras. A Chakra is a Sanskrit word and literally means wheel or disk. The philosophy, often used in yoga and meditation, is a reference to the wheels of energy throughout the human body. There are seven main chakras which are the Base, Sacral, Solar Plexus, Heart, Throat, Brow and Crown.
Trekkah uses a range of instruments and electronic sounds interwoven with the vocal talents of artists from around the world singing in 8 different languages, to form the 14 tracks featured on the Album.
” Stereo ” is built around the Sacral Chakra, or Svadhisthana, with the song’s concept focusing on balancing the energy around relationships. The track features the vocal talents of Bud, the English singer-songwriter from Nottinghamshire. She began writing at the age of 14 and against the wishes of her mother who wanted Bud to go into Law or Medicine, bud entered the world of music. As a writer and performer she is influenced by artists like Lily Allen, Amy Winehouse, Bob Marley, Paolo Nutini and Corrine Bailey Rae.
Additional musicians used on the track are Lance Hume on guitar and Edward Reisner on Flute and Saxaphone. The accompanying music video for ” Stereo ” was filmed in and around the City of Nottingham in the United Kingdom. Directed by Hubert Wojiciki ( Trekkah ), it was produced by Boss Playa Productions.
