Where You At? James Bakian

” Where You At? ” is by James Bakian, the British singer, songwriter and record producer.
The single, which is just over three minutes in duration, was released on the 29th of November 2019 via digital download.
James Bakian was born in London, England. His love of music began at an early age. His first song, ” Oh Baby “, was penned when he was just six years old.
At the age of seven, he started taking piano lessons with drum lessons following closely behind.
When he was ten years old, James Bakian discovered the music of Maroon 5, the American pop-rock band. He became inspired by the songwriting of Adam Levine, the group’s lead singer.
His first Extended Play, By Your Side, consisting of six original songs, was released in 2016. The same year, James entered the UK Songwriting Contest with some of his original work. Two of his songs, ” You’re Gone ” and ” By Your Side “, both made the Semi-Finals of the competition.
In 2017, James spent more time in the studio and worked with three different producers to produce six more original tracks, which were released as his 2017 EP, Unstoppable.
The feedback for his songwriting and performing has been positive, not just from his growing fanbase, but also from music critics.
James wrote, recorded and produced ” Where You At? ” using Logic Pro, the digital audio workstation and MIDI sequencer.
The song is a mixture of styles, including electronic dance, pop, tropical house, and synth-wave.
Lyrically it’s about feeling the emotions of anger, sadness, and confusion after someone realises their love has cheated on them.
James describes his latest release as ” the type of song that can be played at a party or something to listen to when it’s just you. ”
